Nichietsu Inc., which is a robotics startup located in Yokohama and is centered on automation of heavy-load transport in factories, has obtained 500 million yen in Series A funding. The round was led by JP Investment’s Regional Impact No. 1 Fund, with participation from Abies Ventures, NextG Investment, and Mizuho Capital. This completes the company’s Series A financing that began in June 2025.
The latest financing will enable Nichietsu to hasten the progress of its self-driven mobile mold changer, the system which is expected to turn molding plants into fully automated places. Moreover, the firm will increase its output, and the number of its employees will be larger than before, to be able to supply the market with its current products more than ever.
Molding factories are facing growing labor shortages and frequent safety incidents caused by heavy mold handling. Nichietsu’s system automates the entire process, including mold removal, transport, setup, and collection. By implementing this strategy, safety gets better, strain on human operators gets lessened, and the overall productivity of the factory gets increased.
