Mitsubishi Logistics Corporation, Mitsubishi Corporation, and Yourstand Inc. are set to introduce medium-sized EV trucks starting in March 2025 to minimize CO2 emissions in pharmaceutical transportation. This initiative, led by Mitsubishi Logistics Corporation Group company DP Network Co., Ltd., aims to achieve fully CO2-free electrified logistics.
As part of this effort, an EV charger has been installed at Mitsubishi Logistics Corporation’s Misato facility in Saitama. A Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation-manufactured “eCanter” will be deployed for transportation and delivery operations to customers. Data related to vehicle range and temperature management will be collected to support future advancements.
Mitsubishi Corporation, in partnership with Yourstand, has provided Mitsubishi Logistics Corporation with a comprehensive charging solution, encompassing site selection, charger selection, and installation of charging equipment. Yourstand’s corporate charging station management system, “Yourstand for Business” (YS4B), will facilitate seamless charging management. YS4B enables real-time monitoring of charging status and CO2 reduction while optimizing charging times to take advantage of lower electricity prices, ensuring cost efficiency.
The EV truck will be leased through Mitsubishi Auto Leasing Corporation, while MC Retail Energy Co., Ltd. will supply a renewable energy plan dedicated to EV charging. This strategy ensures that all CO2 emissions from charging to driving are virtually eliminated, significantly reducing Scope 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in pharmaceutical logistics.
Beyond introducing EV trucks, Mitsubishi Logistics Corporation Group is actively working to curb GHG emissions across the supply chain. Through its “MLC Green Action” initiative, the company offers CO2 visualization and reduction services, including the “Emission Monitoring Cargo Route Finder,” an international route search and GHG calculation system designed to provide CO2 reduction solutions.
Mitsubishi Corporation is focusing on commercial mobility. This includes logistics and taxis. Both sectors need to reduce carbon emissions. The company applies its expertise in energy management, fleet management, battery management, and renewable energy. It promotes electrification and decarbonization in commercial mobility. It offers solutions for various sectors.
Since 2018, Yourstand has focused on building EV charging infrastructure. They aim to promote cleaner mobility, focusing on “Base Charging.” Since 2023, the company provides corporate EV charging solutions. They provide full services, including charging management software. They also design and install charging infrastructure tailored to your needs.
