Macnica Inc. has launched its digital transformation service, DSF Cyclone, at Yamabiko Inc.’s Yokosuka Plant. This plant is key for making outdoor power equipment. Yamabiko is modernising its IT infrastructure. This initiative aims to improve operational efficiency through digitalisation.
The plant used to collect data manually and report with Excel. This made it hard to scale up and use the data effectively. DSF Cyclone solves these issues by giving real-time insights into production and equipment performance. The system quickly spots differences between planned and actual output. This helps teams address problems fast and make decisions based on facts, not just gut feelings.
Yamabiko picked DSF Cyclone since it matches their YAPS (Yamabiko Production System) perfectly. YAPS focuses on reducing waste and making ongoing improvements. The service supports this idea by promoting a culture. Here, workers can make their own data-driven changes on the factory floor.

The implementation has improved decision-making accuracy, reduced downtime, and enhanced worker engagement. This move boosts scalability across production lines and overseas sites. Yamabiko is taking a big step toward its vision of a global “visible factory.” Macnica will keep supporting the company’s smart factory goals and its digital growth.
