Fact Base Inc., operator of the drawing management system ZUMEN, has raised 28.5 million dollars in a Series C round led by Insight Partners. This is Insight Partners’ first investment in a Japanese company and signals confidence in Fact Base’s potential to transform manufacturing operations in Japan and globally.
Japan’s manufacturing industry faces labor shortages and relies heavily on paper-based processes. Fact Base has been helping small and mid-sized manufacturers address these challenges with ZUMEN, streamlining information sharing and order management from design to production. Over the past two years, revenue has grown about sixteen times, the number of client companies has increased thirteen times, and the company has expanded from Japan to twelve countries.
With the new funding, Fact Base will boost overseas hiring, expand marketing efforts, enter the European market in 2026, and enhance ZUMEN’s functionality. The company also plans new business lines and systems to support inter-company collaboration and factory automation.
