Caddy Inc., which provides the manufacturing AI data platform CADDi, is pleased to announce the launch of a new “Document Function” for the manufacturing data utilization cloud CADDi Drawer.
In the manufacturing industry, a large number of documents are created and used daily in each process, such as sales, design, procurement, production, quality assurance, and after-sales service. Many of these documents would be of great value if they were used across departments and systems. Specifically, they contribute to the realization of front-loading, which involves building in quality, cost, and specifications in the early stages of design and development, anticipating the production and maintenance stages. However, in reality, there are many cases where these documents are only used locally.
In addition, when trying to find documents related to a particular situation, it is costly to contact people who may know, or to find them only if the part number can be identified. As a result, knowledge and information that would be useful if found cannot be fully utilized, and efforts such as document-based QCD (quality, cost, delivery) improvement are not progressing, which is an issue seen in many workplaces.

This function solves these issues by using AI to automatically link drawings and related documents. By automatically linking various documents that were previously scattered with drawings, it is possible to consolidate information while minimizing the effort.
