Mitsubishi Electric Corporation is teaming up with JICA and Hankyu Corporation. They are teaming up to make Line 1 of the Manila Light Rail Transit Authority more energy-efficient. This teamwork aims to boost sustainability, cut carbon emissions, and make rail operations in Manila greener. Their goal is to build a more sustainable transit system in the city. Light Rail Manila Corporation will run it. The team thinks this initiative will help the environment. It will also make commutes better. The area has heavy car use. This causes traffic jams and harms the environment.
Mitsubishi Electric will use its Serendie™ digital platform to:
- Analyze current energy use
- Evaluate energy-saving options
- Recommend the best solutions
The company uses mapping technology to show extra regenerative energy from braking railcars. They plan to suggest strategies like using auxiliary power equipment for station buildings and adding storage systems to save this extra energy for later use.
