Kanematsu Corporation has entered into an exclusive agency agreement with FOSSA Systems, SL, a Spanish space-related startup company, for use in Japan.
Through this agreement, Kanematsu will deploy FOSSA’s microsatellite constellation*1 and related communication technologies to the Japanese market, and will actively promote proposals to government agencies, including the Ministry of Defense, and related industries, particularly in the defense and space sector.

As a manufacturer of microsatellites, FOSSA sells microsatellites and related ground equipment and operation systems as an integrated solution, allowing purchasers to operate the solution independently as their own equipment. The strength of their products lies in their ability to enable low-cost, high-frequency data acquisition and communication by using constellations composed of numerous microsatellites, and they are expected to be used in the following applications:
Secure communications and signal intelligence (SIGINT) in the defense and security sectors.
Complementing wide-area communication infrastructure in remote areas, oceans, and mountainous regions.
IoT and remote monitoring in industrial sectors (logistics, energy, infrastructure monitoring, etc.)
Furthermore, FOSSA plans to establish a new office in Shinagawa and expand its presence throughout the Asia-Pacific region, using Japan as a foothold.
