ArcEdge Space Inc., which provides comprehensive solutions for microsatellite constellations, from planning and design to mass production and operation, is pleased to announce that it has established a new international collaboration framework with major institutions in the UK, US, and Australia to realize a highly reliable and resilient satellite positioning system .
Fujitsu announced that it has signed Letters of Intent (LOI) with TrustPoint Inc. (USA), the Royal Institute of Navigation (UK), and FrontierSI (Australia) to develop a satellite positioning system (LEO-PNT) to provide Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) services through satellites in Low Earth Orbit ( LEO) . These collaborations, together with friendly partners, will explore the development of robust and reliable PNT technology for a wide range of users, including civil, commercial, and security sectors .
The establishment of this collaborative relationship through this LOI marks an important milestone in expanding our LEO-PNT activities globally. Working with organizations that share our values, we aim to contribute to policy formation and strategy formulation aimed at strengthening the resilience of satellite positioning systems. Furthermore, as threats such as jamming and deception against existing GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems) such as GPS become more apparent, we will continue to explore ways to utilize LEO-PNT to improve the reliability and availability of critical infrastructure.
