NTT DATA Group Corporation and NTT DATA INTELLILINK Corporation will expand the detection function using image recognition AI and strengthen the notification integration function for “Worker Safety,” an edge AI solution that supports safety management at workplaces, and will begin offering it on Wednesday, June 11, 2025.
“Worker Safety” is a solution that supports the safety management of on-site work using “image AI” and “edge computing” technologies. This time, the detection function of workers has been expanded by improving the performance of edge devices, strengthening image recognition models, and introducing wireless cameras, making it possible to more precisely detect intrusions into dangerous areas. In addition, by strengthening the notification method, real-time notifications can be sent to workers as well as site supervisors.
NTT DATA INTELLILINK will continue to expand its Edge AI solutions, including “Worker Safety,” to flexibly meet the needs of each site, addressing various issues such as labor shortages, safety measures, and work efficiency at manufacturing, logistics, construction, and other sites where real-time decisions and responses are required.

At construction and manufacturing work sites, the high risk of serious accidents that could cost lives is a major issue. To prevent serious accidents, it is essential to quickly detect and notify dangerous conditions at the work site. In this context, edge computing is well suited to process and analyze data at the work site, achieving faster responses than processing in the cloud.
NTT DATA INTELLILINK offers an edge AI solution called “Worker Safety” that supports safety management at work sites by combining an image detection AI application with an edge management platform, primarily for customers in the construction and manufacturing industries.
In addition, from November 2024, we will be providing the “Edge AI Platform” service, which will make it easier to introduce edge AI, in collaboration with the NTT DATA Group, and “Worker Safety” also utilizes this “Edge AI Platform.”
In order to achieve higher performance and faster safety management, the company has expanded the detection function of “Worker Safety” using image recognition AI and strengthened the immediate notification mechanism, and will begin offering the service on Wednesday, June 11, 2025.
