LINE WORKS Corporation, which provides the business communication tool “LINE WORKS” and various AI products, has launched “Hitosen-san,” an app that integrates with “LINE WORKS” and allows users to divide into groups, determine order, and draw lots (to assign roles) within chat rooms.
“Hitosen-san” simplifies and fairly handles the selection and scheduling of personnel, which frequently occur in daily operations and team management, reducing the effort required for coordination and supporting improved operational efficiency and smoother communication on the ground.
The background behind the development of the “Person Selection” app
In the workplace and on projects, adjustments such as “who will be responsible for what” and “in what order should things be done” occur on a daily basis. However, these selections of personnel and scheduling decisions often require time-consuming adjustments and can lead to biases in the decision-making process. In particular, in teams with frequent member changes or operations involving multiple locations and departments, the adjustment work that arises each time contributes to the burden on the staff.

To address these challenges, we developed “Hitosen-san,” an app that allows anyone to easily and fairly select and determine the order of participants within a LINE WORKS chat room.
