Persol Business Process Design Co., Ltd., a member of the Persol Group whose vision is “Work and Smile,” has introduced the labor management tool “MITERAS Work Visualization” to Canon Marketing Japan Inc., helping to achieve appropriate work hour management and timely understanding of the working status of approximately 5,000 employees.
Background and issues of introduction
In recent years, long working hours and unpaid overtime have become socially problematic, and strict management of working hours is required. Until now, Canon MJ has managed the working hours of its employees, who are mainly in sales positions and often work outside the office, by recording the entry and exit of each office and by handwritten self-reporting. This has led to the issue that it is difficult to properly manage working hours outside the office, such as when at a client’s office.
Furthermore, the Human Resources department had to cross-check attendance records with entry and exit records, and if there were any ambiguities they had to ask their superiors to confirm or correct them, which was a burden.

MITERAS Work Visualization is a labor management tool that visualizes the actual working hours and work content of employees. It objectively grasps working hours, detects unpaid overtime and hidden work on holidays, and sends alerts. PC logs are visualized to show “when and what work was done,” allowing managers to accurately grasp the actual working conditions of members. It can also be flexibly linked to any attendance system, making it easy to check for discrepancies.
