Nippon Brace Co., Ltd. has announced “MEDIX-R”, a self-training and medical support platform compatible with smart glasses and Android devices, developed jointly with the Japan Health Information Consortium and Professor Kohei Tanaka of Tokyo University of Technology.
In recent years, the medical field has been facing issues such as an increase in workload due to a shortage of medical personnel and medical accidents due to misjudgment. In addition, it takes a lot of time to master medical procedures and train to operate medical equipment, so there is a need for a system that can balance efficient learning with improved safety.
“MEDIX-R” utilizes AI and AR technology to provide an environment where medical professionals can receive self-training and clinical support anytime, anywhere. By linking with smartphones and smart glasses, it becomes possible to obtain information hands-free, which is expected to lead to faster responses in clinical settings and a reduction in medical errors.
