NTT DOCOMO, INC., led by Representative Director and President Yoshiaki Maeda, is based in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. Ubie Inc. is also part of this discussion. Ubie, based in Chuo-ku, Tokyo, has formed a capital and business alliance. The Co-Representative Directors are Yoshitomo Abe and Kota Kubo. This agreement helps people live longer and healthier. It does this by sharing personalized medical and health information with more individuals. DOCOMO signed the agreement on Friday, March 14, 2025. Then, it finalized its investment in Ubie on Thursday, March 27, 2025.
As part of this alliance, DOCOMO’s “d ACCOUNT®” will be integrated with Ubie’s symptom checker platform, enabling tailored medical and health-related service information to be provided to individual users.
Partnership Objectives
DOCOMO, with over 100 million d ACCOUNT users, has been actively supporting members in improving their health through services such as the “d Healthcare” app, which encourages healthy lifestyle choices and behavior changes.

Ubie, on the other hand, offers a range of healthcare technologies including:
- “Ubie”, a symptom search engine used by over 12 million people monthly
- “Ubie Medical Navi”, a comprehensive solution package for healthcare providers, incorporating AI-powered tools and adopted by more than 1,800 institutions across Japan
- “Ubie for Pharma”, a platform that collaborates with pharmaceutical companies to raise awareness about diseases and treatment options
Ubie aims to democratize access to appropriate healthcare and drive digital transformation across the medical industry.
Through this collaboration, the integration of DOCOMO’s expansive d ACCOUNT membership with Ubie’s technology will allow both companies—based on individual user consent—to leverage their data and deliver highly personalized health and medical information. The overarching goal is to contribute to extending the healthy lifespans of users. The alliance will also target pharmaceutical companies with joint marketing efforts. They will use their combined data and skills to enhance these initiatives.
