PayPay Bank Co., Ltd. and LINE Yahoo Japan Corporation have launched the “LINE Linkage Service”, which allows users to access PayPay Bank services with one tap from the LINE, a communication app provided by LINE Yahoo, to all individual customers with PayPay Bank accounts. When the Service was launched in February 2025, it was only available to customers who opened a new “LINE Branch” account via LINE, but now, individual customers who already have accounts at other branches can also use the Service.
The “LINE Linkage Service” allows users to access PayPay Bank with one tap using the authentication registered on their device from the “LINE” they use every day, and allows them to use banking services such as transfers and balance confirmation, as well as smoothly check the interest provided by the “Deposit Revolution” with an interest rate of up to 2.0% per year (1.59% after tax). Users can also receive notifications of transactions such as transfers and interest receipts via “LINE” chat.
Under its corporate mission of “Bringing financial services to you like air,” PayPay Bank is strengthening its collaboration with the cashless payment service “PayPay” and focusing on providing financial services that are integrated into everyday life. The bank is also working to make it more affordable for customers, such as raising deposit interest rates in response to fluctuations in market interest rates. The convenience of being able to use banking services on “PayPay” without having to access PayPay Bank directly and its advantageous deposit interest rates have been highly praised by customers, and the number of accounts has increased by about 4 million in about four years since the company name was changed in 2021, with the number of deposit accounts exceeding 9 million (as of the end of April 2025).

In February 2025, in order to provide more convenient banking services, in addition to collaborating with “PayPay”, the company began offering this service, which allows customers to access banking services from “LINE”, which is used by 98 million people monthly (as of the end of March 2025), to customers who opened new “LINE Branch” accounts. Now, by making the service available to individual customers who have accounts at branches other than “LINE Branch”, all individual customers who use PayPay Bank can access PayPay Bank from “LINE” just like communicating with family and friends, making for an even more intuitive and easy-to-use financial experience.
PayPay Bank also provides information and distributes free LINE stamps through its official LINE account, and the official LINE account “PayPay Bank” has over 4 million registered users (as of the end of April 2025).
