Merpay Adds Online Payments to App Pay Platform

Merpay, Inc. has begun offering online payments for Mercari’s smartphone payment service, “Merpay,” on App Pay, an out-of-app payment platform operated by Digital Garage, Inc., from Friday, October 24, 2025.

Through this initiative, users will be able to use the proceeds (Merpay balance) and points earned by selling items they no longer use on Mercari to pay for digital content on Monster Strike (MIXI).

Out-of-app purchases are a payment method where payments are made via an external website rather than within the app. This initiative aims to improve the payment experience in the app payment market and increase convenience for both users and businesses. Going forward, App Pay will further expand the number of games that support online payments with Merpay, and promote the provision of an even more cost-effective and convenient payment experience.
