WineBank Co., Ltd. has established a fundraising structure exceeding 360 million yen in its Series A round. This is achieved through a third-party allocation of shares exceeding 160 million yen to Money Forward Venture Partners Co., Ltd. and new investors, as well as securing a project finance facility of 200 million yen from Mizuho Bank, Ltd., due to its wine inventory. This brings the total amount raised to approximately 720 million yen.
The funds raised will be used to strengthen our procurement of high-quality wines and further expand awareness of our core WineTech business, accelerating our mission of “updating the existing wine distribution system.”
Fine wines, being delicate, expensive, and rare, face distribution challenges such as difficulty in tracking distribution channels, susceptibility to deterioration depending on storage conditions, and limited supply leading to unfair price increases. As a result, it is difficult for high-quality wines to reach connoisseurs properly, creating a need for a distribution market where both sellers and buyers can trade safely and easily.

Our mission is to “update existing wine distribution,” and we are working to update wine distribution by combining innovative online services with our 55 years of experience in liquor sales and our ability to procure authentic products. In 2022, we released “WineBank,” an online service that allows for centralized management of wine on the cloud. Furthermore, in 2025, we will release “WineBank Marketplace,” which combines the reliability of auctions with the convenience of a flea market, realizing a one-stop platform for buying, selling, and managing wine.
Furthermore, in recent years, with the growing interest in and diversification of investments, attention has also been drawn to the “asset value of wine.” By using the ‘WineBank‘ service, you can seamlessly manage, purchase, and sell authentic wines online, making it easy for anyone to start investing in wine. In addition, you can have the purchased wine delivered to your home and enjoy it, allowing you to age the wine and enjoy it in a variety of ways, both as a luxury item and as an investment.
This fundraising round is aimed at further revitalizing this platform, and will be used to strengthen our wine procurement and increase awareness of our WineTech business.
