Reborn, a company providing a comprehensive solution from odor data measurement and analysis to fragrance creation, announced on the 6th that it has raised ¥430 million. This brings the total amount of funds raised to ¥1.35 billion. The investors include Brand New Retail Initiative Fund Limited Partnership, Archetype Ventures, OKB Capital, and Chopro.
Reborn, a startup originating from Nagasaki University, has developed a unique odor sensing system and AI fragrance system, building a platform capable of seamlessly handling the “recording,” “transmission,” and “reproduction” of scents. According to the company, it has accumulated a track record of implementation in fields where fragrance is central to the value of the experience, such as quality control and research and development in the food, beverage, cosmetics, medical, and automotive sectors, as well as spatial production in exhibitions and entertainment.

The funds raised will be allocated to the development of high-precision and portable odor sensors and devices capable of automatically reproducing any fragrance. With this, the company aims to expand its fragrance platform into a versatile tool accessible to everyone.
