Ignition Point Venture Partners Co., Ltd. has made an LP investment in the LPS “IMMJ Korea-Japan Fusion Fund” (hereinafter “this LPS”), for which IMM Investment Japan Co., Ltd. serves as GP, through its general fund “CENTER OF SYNERGY FUND” (hereinafter “this Fund”), and has invested in Kyoto Fusioneering Co., Ltd. through this LPS.
Kyoto Fusion Engineering is a startup specializing in the engineering of fusion energy plants. We comprehensively handle fundamental technologies essential for power plants, such as plasma heating systems (gyrotrons), fuel cycles, and blanket/thermal cycles. We design and manufacture equipment and systems for government research institutions and fusion reactor development companies in various countries.

Specifically, we are promoting projects at three locations: UNITY-1, an integrated test plant currently in operation and being expanded in Kumiyama Town, Kyoto Prefecture; UNITY-2, being constructed through joint development with the Canadian Nuclear Research Laboratory (CNL); and UNITY-3, being developed in collaboration with Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) in the United States. In addition, we are working to strengthen our R&D and manufacturing capabilities, including plasma heating systems (gyrotrons), to meet customer demand.
