TIS Inc., a member of the TIS Intec Group, announced that it has launched the “International Brand Enhancement Support Service” on March 25, 2026, which utilizes AI generation to efficiently implement brand enhancement measures for companies handling international brands (such as card issuers and merchant agreement companies).
Brand enhancement is an initiative in which international brands present policies and requirements to card issuers and merchant partners that handle their brands, including revisions to rules regarding brand usage, additions of features, and enhanced security. Brand enhancement is conducted several times a year and is positioned as an important process for ensuring payment security and continuously promoting the adoption of the latest technologies. Therefore, card issuers and merchant partners are required to accurately understand the contents and promptly organize and respond to them.
The “International Brand Enhancement Support Service” utilizes generation AI and TIS’s expertise in the card industry to organize the large volumes of data distributed through brand enhancement into a Japanese format. Furthermore, by using an AI chat function to confirm revisions and understand the scope of impact, the service reduces the time and effort required for initial analysis and content organization in brand enhancement by approximately 30%*1. Currently, the service is primarily offered for Visa and Mastercard, and we plan to gradually expand to other international payment networks (target international brands) in the future.

With the spread of cashless payments, payments through international brands are becoming increasingly important as social infrastructure, and ensuring the stability and security of payments is a crucial responsibility for companies operating card businesses. On the other hand, in order to utilize the latest features provided by each international brand and meet the latest security requirements, brand enhancement is essential. However, brand enhancement involves a large amount of information, and there are no services available that can streamline the entire process, so companies have had to deal with this internally, requiring a certain amount of manpower and expertise. In-house development through the creation of efficiency tools has also been difficult, and even now, many companies still have staff members who spend several months manually reviewing documents and creating checklists, resulting in a high workload.
During brand enhancements, which are implemented several times a year, international brands may distribute approximately 1,000 pages of English-language documentation. Card issuers and merchant acquiring companies typically translate this documentation, organize it into checklists for each item such as feature additions and security enhancements, and then proceed with the implementation.
Against this backdrop, we have launched the “International Brand Enhancement Support Service,” leveraging TIS’s experience in developing and operating core card systems and providing brand enhancement support. In its development, TIS is utilizing “Amazon Bedrock,” a generative AI technology offered by Amazon Web Services (AWS), where TIS is a Premier Tier Service Partner.
