Oita Bank Ltd, OEC Corporation, Oita Godo Newspaper Co., Ltd., Oita Broadcasting Co., Ltd. and Tokiwa Corporation are pleased to announce the establishment of Oita Platt Co., Ltd., a new company that will plan, develop, operate and manage systems such as smartphone apps, and operate and manage local currencies and local gift certificates, in order to revitalize the local community and resolve local issues.

The five companies will launch the “Team Oita Conference” in December 2022 with the aim of creating new businesses and services for the development of Oita Prefecture. The companies are considering projects to support the resolution of regional issues toward realizing a “sustainable region” and are preparing to establish a new company.
