DePIN (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks) is a new trend that utilizes blockchain mechanisms to decentralize physical infrastructure such as communications, maps, and energy. Expectations are growing for new value creation and social impacts that can be achieved by combining blockchain technology with physical infrastructure, and interest has been growing in Japan in recent years.

At Animoca Brands Japan, we have been focusing on the changes that DePIN will bring about and have been collaborating with DePIN-related projects since 2024. As it is expected to attract even more attention in the future, we will fully launch “DePIN Labs,” a project that disseminates information about DePIN, leveraging the knowledge and network we have cultivated through our business to provide more people with an opportunity to learn about DePIN.
