NTT DATA Corporation and Quollio Technologies Inc. have entered into a solution partner agreement and will begin providing the domestically developed data catalog product “Quollio Data Intelligence Cloud” and supporting its utilization and adoption from April 2025.
By combining NTT DATA’s expertise in data management and generative AI, which allows it to provide one-stop services from consulting to system construction and operation, with Quollio‘s data catalog product that can manage and utilize business context as business metadata, it will promote autonomous data utilization and advanced business processes within each customer’s department, realizing data-driven management across the entire company.
Going forward, the two companies will proactively work to improve the accuracy of AI agent output by developing and utilizing business metadata, opening up new possibilities for data utilization. NTT DATA will also promote the use of data catalogs to realize its generative AI utilization concept, “SmartAgent.”

With the diversification and complexity of consumer behavior and the rapid development of technologies such as generative AI, data-driven management that utilizes huge amounts of data to make speedy decisions is attracting attention. To achieve this, it is essential to prepare, manage, and operate metadata such as the location, meaning, background (context), and data history (data lineage)Note 1 across the systems used by the company. However, many companies are struggling to realize data-driven management due to issues such as the diversification of data storesNote 2, the increase in data volume, and securing the operational costs for continuous preparation and management.
There is also an urgent need for companies to produce concrete results in their use of AI, and to maximize the potential of AI, there is a need to transform data into a data asset with high business value.
To address these issues, the introduction of a “data catalog” that can centrally and efficiently manage and operate huge amounts of metadata is attracting attention as a solution. Specifically, it can improve the efficiency of data exploration through search functions and visualization of statistical information, reduce operational burden through automatic metadata collection functions, and support rapid and appropriate decision-making by sharing business knowledge across the entire company.
