SAP Japan Co., Ltd. announced that ENEOS Corporation has adopted “RISE with SAP,” a cloud offering centered on “SAP S/4HANA Cloud,” for its core system “CoMPASS,” and that it went fully operational in January 2025.
ENEOS had been using SAP S/4HANA® for its core system, but began a migration project to RISE with SAP in January 2024. The company was able to achieve full operation of one of Japan’s largest projects in just one year, as scheduled.
In its ENEOS digital strategy, ENEOS has set the specific themes of “ENEOS-DX Core: Thorough optimization of core businesses,” “ENEOS-DX Next: Creating growth businesses and expanding profits,” and “DX toward carbon neutrality: Accelerating the realization of the energy transition.” The company is working to strengthen the driving forces behind these themes, including digital talent development, data utilization, IT governance, and co-creation opportunities.

Now that the upgrade of SAP S/4HANA and the transition to RISE with SAP have been completed and full operation has begun, an environment has been created in which the latest technologies provided by SAP® Business AI , including Joule provided by RISE with SAP, and SAP® Business Technology Platform can be utilized in a timely and flexible manner for business strategy and work reform efforts in the core systems that are essential for realizing ENEOS‘ digital strategy. This will further accelerate the automation and efficiency of work carried out mainly in the core systems, and the digital transformation of system operation management.
