HoloLab Inc. has cooperated in the development of “UNI-ONE Underwater Exploration,” a content that can be enjoyed by wearing AR glasses while riding the next-generation personal mobility vehicle “UNI-ONE” developed by Honda Motor Co., Ltd.UNI-ONE is the next-generation personal mobility device being researched and developed by Honda.
It has evolved by inheriting the “robotics technology that values compatibility with humans” cultivated by the bipedal robot ASIMO.
Based on the concept of “expanding physical functions,” it is characterized by the fact that you can move in all directions just by shifting your weight, and you can use both hands freely even while moving.
When sitting, you are in a stable low position, and when moving, the seat rises to a high position, bringing you closer to eye level with people who are standing, allowing you to communicate naturally while moving around.
In addition, because the hands can be used freely, it becomes possible to work whilst moving around, expanding the possibilities for a wide range of people.
HoloLab‘s expertise in XR technology and AR glasses are also a means of extending bodily functions, and we focused on the possibility of a collaboration between “UNI-ONE x XR.”
UNI-ONE × AR Glasses
The AR glasses worn while riding the UNI-ONE are shaped like glasses, so they come into contact with very little of the skin, and hair and makeup will not be disturbed after use.
In addition, it is lightweight, weighing only about 1/6 of a typical VR device, and users can see the scenery around them, so they can enjoy the experience with peace of mind.
Due to these features, it can be said that the AR glasses and the intuitive UNI-ONE are a perfect match.
