NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com), which operates the Docomo Group’s corporate business brand “Docomo Business,” will begin offering “WideAngle ASM” on February 3, 2025. This service visualizes the weaknesses of a company’s IT assets from an attacker’s perspective and continuously reduces security risks. This service combines the advanced information gathering capabilities of “Dark Web Eye” provided by SMS Data Tech Co., Ltd. with NTT Com’s security-focused help desk to visualize vulnerability information of customers’ IT assets, unexpected exposure on the Internet, and login ID and password information leaked on the dark web. The service also provides appropriate configuration support at the help desk, improving companies’ security risk management.
NTT Com will also provide comprehensive operational support to customers through Cyber Exposure Management.
Background
As the number of cyber attacks increases, many attackers target IT assets that do not have basic security measures in place, such as network devices with vulnerabilities left unattended and servers with misconfigurations left unattended. Among these, IT assets that are directly connected to the Internet, known as the attack surface, are constantly exposed to the threat of attacks.

In recent years, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry has released the “ASM Implementation Guidance ,” and ASM, a service designed to eliminate vulnerabilities and configuration errors on the attack surface, has been attracting attention.
NTT Com offers a wide range of Cyber Exposure Management solutions, such as “WideAngle Managed CSPM” and “WideAngle Advisory Plus ,” that visualize IT assets and keep them in an appropriate state, and will now begin offering “WideAngle ASM” as an ASM service. This will enable customers to better reduce security risks by identifying vulnerabilities on their attack surface and unexpected exposure to the Internet due to configuration errors and taking appropriate measures.
Overview of the Service
This service enables IT asset management on the attack surface and continuously detects configuration errors (neglected servers, unnecessary open ports, left unattended vulnerabilities, etc.). Customers can receive notifications from NTT Com’s WideAngle ASM and take measures such as applying patches and correcting settings to prevent security incidents before they occur.
