Cybozu Inc. and Shimotsuma City, Ibaraki Prefecture, signed a comprehensive partnership agreement on January 28, 2025, with the aim of mutual cooperation and collaboration to promote digital transformation in local governments.
Cybozu has launched a “kintone one-year free campaign” to fully support the promotion of digital transformation in local governments in 2022 (※). Shimotsuma City took the opportunity to participate in this campaign to begin using kintone to improve business efficiency and accelerate its deployment across the entire city. As a result, the kintone usage rate among Shimotsuma City employees reached over 90%, and more than 300 business apps were created, improving employee work and citizen services, making it a successful example of kintone usage across the entire city.
By entering into a comprehensive partnership agreement, Cybozu and Shimotsuma City will mutually utilize the know-how and knowledge that each has cultivated. This will further improve citizen services and streamline administrative operations in Shimotsuma City, and will lead to activities that support the promotion of digital transformation in local governments across the country.
