Mitsubishi HC Capital Co., Ltd. , AGC Inc. , and JR East Marketing & Communications, Inc. have begun a demonstration experiment (hereinafter “this Demonstration”) to verify the effectiveness of advertising, with the aim of developing a new business related to digital signage advertising in office buildings.
This demonstration will be carried out in two stages for employees of Mitsubishi HC Capital and AGC who work in Shin-Maru Building. In the first stage, which began today, AGC will install a display-integrated mirror “Miraria® ” sold by AGC in the restrooms of each floor occupied by the two companies. Advertisements, weather and news information will be displayed on this “Miraria® ” using a distribution system built by jeki. After the first stage ends, Mitsubishi HC Capital and AGC will measure the effectiveness of the service on employees, and based on the results, the three companies plan to identify issues in providing the service. The advertisements to be displayed will be distributed with the cooperation of Kanebo Cosmetics Inc. (brand: Resurge). In the second stage, in addition to the restrooms on each floor, the digital signage will be linked with other digital signage media in the exclusive areas of the office area to verify the needs of advertisers by increasing the contact points between employees and advertisements in the office building. Based on the results of this demonstration, we will continue to verify the business feasibility and aim to start providing services related to digital signage advertising in offices during fiscal year 2025. The two companies will also combine their resources to promote the development of more efficient digital signage advertising services by linking the various advertisements scattered throughout office buildings, commercial facilities, and public transportation in the Marunouchi area. By providing new services, the two companies will be able to meet the needs of advertisers while also disseminating information that will appeal to facility users and building owners. This collaboration was initiated through interactions between the two companies on the Tokyo Marunouchi Innovation Platform (TMIP) *2 , an open innovation platform that aims to support new business creation for large companies and to create new businesses through collaboration between large companies and startups, as well as between industry, government, academia, and the city .
