Brazilian Rare Earths Limited has shared news of a new high-grade rare earth find at its Sulista Project in Bahia, Brazil while more drilling has increased the known mineralisation at the Sulista East deposit.
The companys first stage diamond drilling at Sulista South, which’s about 800 metres south of Sulista East found multiple rare earth mineralised layers across a 500-metre length. The mineralisation goes up to 18 metres in thickness with reports of grades up to 13.3% total rare earth oxides (TREO). The mineralisation is still open along the length and at depth.
These results are coming as Brazilian Rare Earths continues an exploration program across the Sulista area and gets ready for an updated Mineral Resource Estimate expected by the end of 2026.
New Sulista South Zone adds to exploration opportunities
The Sulista South find increases the known earth mineralisation beyond the current Sulista East deposit.
Early drilling has found mineralised layers instead of one single find. Brazilian Rare Earths is now planning another 2,000 metres of follow-up drilling at Sulista South to better understand the system.
The company also noted that than 4.5 kilometres of the southern exploration area has not been tested with diamond drilling. A larger diamond drilling program over 10,000 metres is ongoing with steps focusing on more high-grade finds along this area.
For the rare earths industry more drilling in an area that has not been explored much can offer details about how the mineralisation continues how big it is and how the grades are spread. However the new material found is still subject, to exploration and resource definition.
Sulista East Strike Extended by 430 Metres
A discovery at Sulista East has led to an extension of the known mineralisation strike by 430 metres beyond the current Mineral Resource area. This update adds to the understanding of the deposit’s size and potential.
Drilling efforts have pushed the strike north by about 350 metres and south by another 80 metres. Infill drilling has also been used to understand how the mineralisation continues underground including its shape, structure and grade distribution.
These additional drill results could help move parts of the resource from the Inferred category to the category. This shift depends on the company’s resource estimation work.
This classification matters a lot for mining projects. Higher confidence in the resource means accurate planning for future mine development feasibility studies and investment decisions.
Updated Mineral Resource Targeted for End of 2026
Rare Earths intends to include the latest drilling data in a revised JORC Mineral Resource Estimate for Sulista East. This updated estimate is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.
The company plans to carry out another 5,000 metres of infill and step-out drilling at Sulista East. The main goal is to convert the majority of the existing Mineral Resource into the category.
The updated resource will give a view of how large and continuous the mineralised area really is, after the recent exploration.
It’s important to note that these new results are not yet part of a revised resource estimate. They are exploration findings that will go into resource models and technical evaluations.
Potential Link to Camaçari Processing Hub
Sulista was not included in Rare Earths previously published Monte Alto plus Camaçari Scoping Study. The company said the Sulista project could potentially provide high-grade feed to the planned Camaçari processing hub, subject to further resource definition and technical studies
If future exploration and resource updates support that pathway Sulista could become part of a regional development strategy centred on shared processing infrastructure.
For businesses involved in earth mining, processing and downstream supply chains developments such as Sulista are relevant because access to additional mineral resources can influence future feedstock availability and processing requirements. The commercial significance however will depend on resource estimates, metallurgical work, economic studies, permitting and development decisions.

The latest discovery adds another exploration target to Rare Earths activities in Bahia while the company continues drilling at Sulista East and other areas of its broader project portfolio.
The immediate priorities are further drilling at Sulista South continued exploration along the southern corridor additional infill and step-out drilling, at Sulista East and preparation of the updated resource estimate.
The next resource update should provide a complete assessment of how the new Sulista South discovery and the Sulista East extensions affect the projects overall mineral inventory.
