PathosLogos has started an API integration between its HR collaboration platform PathosLogos and Mugen’s commuting expense management system Rakuraku Commuting Expense. The integration enables employee and commuting expense information to be exchanged automatically between the two systems.
Through the integration, personnel information managed in HR and payroll systems—including employee affiliation, positions and employee details—can be transferred from PathosLogos to Rakuraku Commuting Expense. In the opposite direction, commuting expense information calculated by Rakuraku Commuting Expense, including payment amounts and commuting expenses subject to social and employment insurance, can be automatically transferred back to PathosLogos.
The companies said many organizations use separate systems for HR, payroll and attendance management, while commuting expense administration is still handled through Excel or manual processes in some cases. This can create additional work when maintaining employee information and transferring payment data into payroll systems, while also making data consistency between systems more difficult to maintain.
PathosLogos and Mugen previously established a sales partnership in October 2025 to support large enterprises in addressing commuting expense management challenges. The new API connection expands that collaboration by linking commuting expense administration more directly with HR and payroll operations.
With the integration changes like employee transfers and address updates can now be shared automatically between systems. This means HR and payroll teams no longer have to update information in several places. It helps reduce the amount of work needed to keep data accurate and up, to date. The companies believe this connection will make many processes run smoothly from managing commuting expenses to calculating payroll.
PathosLogos also offers Combosite HR & Payroll, an HR and payroll SaaS platform for large enterprises, where commuting expense information can be used in payroll calculation processes.

Mugen’s Rakuraku Commuting Expense is a cloud-based system covering the application and approval, calculation and management, statement issuance and data export of commuting expenses. It is designed to support organizations with complex payment rules and large numbers of locations and employees, including handling fare revisions and actual-expense payments associated with increasingly diverse working arrangements.
PathosLogos is an HR collaboration platform for large enterprises that connects multiple HR SaaS applications and centralizes and standardizes personnel data distributed across different systems. It allows companies to combine HR services across areas such as attendance, labor management, payroll and performance evaluation while reducing duplicate data entry and administrative workload.
Going forward, PathosLogos plans to expand integrations with HR SaaS and related services, including Rakuraku Commuting Expense. The company said it will continue working to improve the efficiency of HR-related operations at large enterprises and support decision-making through the use of integrated personnel data.
