UNCHAIN has been selected for the J-StarX GSE Bootcamp, an overseas expansion program conducted in collaboration with Berkeley SkyDeck, the startup accelerator originating from the University of California, Berkeley, and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO).
Through mentoring and workshops that Berkeley SkyDeck offers UNCHAIN will further develop a strategy to enter markets. UNCHAIN also wants to build relationships with investors and potential business partners.
Berkeley SkyDeck is a startup accelerator that UC Berkeley created. JETRO has worked with Berkeley SkyDeck on programs that help Japanese startups grow worldwide. This partnership between JETRO and Berkeley SkyDeck also offers programs that link startups with expertise, networks and resources from the UC Berkeley ecosystem.
As part of this program UNCHAIN will work to gain an understanding of overseas markets and to create strategies for acquiring customers and expanding business outside Japan. UNCHAIN also plans to use networking chances at Global Startup Expo 2026 (GSE2026) which will be held in Osaka in October 2026 to grow its links with investors and business partners.
UNCHAIN builds an AI platform that is made to understand the context inside an organization and to keep learning from business activities. This technology automatically. Updates an organizational ontology arranging the relationships among people, tasks and decision‑making processes that come from information spread across the organization.

UNCHAIN wants AI to grasp the context of each organization, such as who is, in charge of particular tasks and why certain decisions are made. By collecting knowledge and experience that arise from work UNCHAIN is creating an AI base that can give recommendations and operational help that fit each organization.
UNCHAIN was founded in July 2025. Is based in Tokyo. UNCHAIN’s business is focused on creating and offering an AI platform that automatically builds and updates ontologies.
With its selection for the J-StarX GSE Bootcamp, UNCHAIN will use the opportunity to deepen its understanding of international markets, strengthen its global network and explore opportunities to expand its business as a Japan-based AI company.
