IKO, an American roofing manufacturer has launched IKO Metals. This new brand brings its DECRA stone-coated steel roofing products into one metal roofing portfolio across the United States and Canada.
The launch was announced on September 28 2026 at the Western Roofing Expo in Las Vegas. It introduces DECRA by IKO Metals. This is a collection of steel roofing products. They are designed to look like clay tiles and wood shakes.
This launch continues IKO’s expansion into metal roofing. It follows a $60 million investment in a manufacturing facility in Ennis, Texas. That facility opened in 2025. The move shows IKO’s focus on growing its product range. It also shows the companys effort to strengthen its position in the American roofing market.
Three Roofing Profiles Inspired by Traditional Materials
The initial DECRA by IKO Metals portfolio includes three roofing profiles. Each profile combines architectural styles with stone-coated steel construction.
The collection features:
Mediterranean Tile: A profile, scalloped design. It is inspired by Mediterranean clay roofing.
Farmhouse Shake: A profile that mimics hand-split cedar shakes. It has pronounced shadow lines.
Spanish Tile: A curved design modeled after Spanish clay roof tiles.
These products are made to give homeowners, contractors and distributors choices. They offer alternatives, to roofing materials. At the time they keep the appearance of familiar architectural styles.
According to IKO the products use its roofing granules. They also feature updated color options. The company says the designs help make installation easier.
Expanding Metal Roofing Manufacturing
The IKO Metals launch comes after the company invested in a 205,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Ennis, Texas. This facility helps with the production of stone-coated metal roofing products. Is part of IKOs larger plan to grow its manufacturing presence in North America.
By bringing DECRA products under the IKO Metals brand the company is creating an identity for its metal roofing offerings.
DECRA joined IKO when the company bought Roof Tile Group in 2018. The brand has a history in stone-coated steel roofing and the new collection builds on that strong foundation of products.
IKO says this initial launch is the step in expanding its metal roofing line with more products expected as the business grows.
Durability and Product Specifications
IKO says its IKO Metals roofing products have a Class 4 impact-resistance rating and a Class A fire rating. The company also says the systems are built to handle freeze-thaw conditions.
The roofing products come with a Lifetime Limited Warranty for residential installations as long as the terms and conditions are met. The company mentions wind coverage of up to 120 miles per hour and coverage for hailstones up to 2.5 inches, in diameter according to the warranty details.
Actual performance and coverage depend on how the productsre installed their specifications and the terms of the warranty.
Implications for the North American Roofing Market
The launch arrives while roofing manufacturers keep adding products to meet varied architectural tastes and performance needs.
Stone‑coated steel roofing mixes a steel core with a stone cover letting makers craft styles that look like materials. Homeowners and contractors get another choice when they weigh design, toughness and how easy it is to install.
For distributors and roofing contractors IKO Metals gives the company a brand for metal roofing. The first set of products is aimed at homes in the United States and Canada.
The firm’s investment in making units also shows how home production and delivery help grow its wide array of products.
