Gyro General Consulting has launched a recovery support initiative in response to the Kumamoto earthquake, offering its generative AI tool, ‘Ai-suke,’ free of charge until December 31, 2026. The initiative covers support organizations in Kumamoto Prefecture and organizations outside the prefecture assisting disaster-affected businesses.
Ai-suke is designed to help support staff handle tasks such as preparing subsidy applications, organizing information for business restart plans, developing Business Continuity Plans, and creating documents for business consultations. It can also help sort out weather and disaster prevention details that are put out by the Japan Meteorological Agency.
This shift points to a wider use of generative AI in disaster recovery, where support crews are under heavy stress from workloads and companies need fast access to funding options, program information, and operational guidance, right away.

Gyro Consulting says the aim is not to swap out human support. Instead, by reducing administrative work, AI can give staff more time to listen to businesses, identify challenges, and support their recovery.
