QueryPie AI LLC will fully launch its AI Transformation (AX) support business utilizing Forward Deployed Engineers in the Japanese market. Accordingly, the Company will strengthen its recruitment of FDEs in Japan.
An FDE (Field Development Engineer) is an engineer who deeply engages with clients’ sites and leverages data, AI, and software to drive solutions to business challenges. Until now, our founding members have supported domestic projects as FDEs, but we are now establishing a dedicated FDE organization in Japan to fully strengthen our system. We will support the promotion of AX (Automated Virtualization) by Japanese companies from the field and further expand our FDE service delivery system.
While the use of generative AI and AI agents is progressing, Japanese companies are facing challenges such as “tools being introduced but not becoming established in on-site operations” and “having plans for AI utilization but not progressing to implementation and operation.”

This situation stems from a shortage of personnel who understand both technology and on-site operations, and who can design, implement, and improve AI utilization in line with actual business challenges. FDEs possess both engineering skills and business understanding, and play a role in supporting customers throughout the process of achieving results on-site.
FDE is a field-oriented engineering model that has developed in the data and AI field in the United States. This approach, which has become known through companies such as Palantir Technologies, has recently attracted attention as a methodology for establishing the use of data and AI in the field within companies.
We believe that FDE will play a crucial role in advancing Japanese companies’ AX (Automated Assistance) to the next level.
