International shipping invoices often use inconsistent terminology for costs, making data aggregation time-consuming. This new feature uses AI to automatically read and categorize these costs, outputting them as data (CSV) that can be used directly for analysis. Companies can now understand and compare which costs are incurred most, on which routes, and by which carriers, without manual processing.
Background of the new feature addition
The environment surrounding international logistics remains unstable due to rising geopolitical risks, including the situation in the Middle East, and fluctuations in tariff policies. As the impact of logistics costs on business activities grows year by year, there is a rapidly increasing need to “understand our own logistics costs through data and reflect them in management decisions.”

However, in practice, they are stuck at the very first step: “data aggregation.” The expense items listed on international shipping invoices have different names depending on the international logistics company. The same type of expense may be listed as “sea freight” on one invoice and “OCEAN FREIGHT” on another, and the person in charge has been deciphering each of these, transcribing them into Excel, and then compiling them according to their own standards.
With this manual method of data collection, it is difficult to grasp which costs are being incurred most, on which routes, and by which businesses. As transportation volume increases and the situation becomes more volatile, the traditional methods are reaching their limits.
