Shippio Co., Ltd. has launched ‘AI Shipment Creation,’ a new AI feature for Outlook and Gmail linked with the Shippio Platform.
The feature was built around a problem trade teams deal with daily. Way too many emails, plus PDFs galore, and honestly way too much manual effort. The team still ends up opening shipment messages, verifying booking details, copying bits and pieces into internal systems, saving documents, then sorting everything file by file, one by one.
The new tool uses AI to scan email text, plus the attached PDFs, pretty much all on its own. It pulls out shipment info like departure and arrival ports, cargo specifics, sailing or transport schedules, the Incoterms, and the transport mode. Those related documents invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading also get uploaded and sorted automatically, so it’s less sorting in the end.

Another big part is the one-click registration flow. Users can register an entire trade case directly from the email screen within seconds instead of spending several minutes manually entering information.
Shippio says the feature is expected to reduce repetitive operational work, lower manual input mistakes, and improve information sharing between trading partners and logistics providers.
