ACSiON Corporation released the white paper “Radical Transparency: How to Protect Companies from Cyber Threats,” which was co-produced with Forbes JAPAN Brand Studio, on March 30, 2026. This document is a strategic recommendation that explains how companies should build and protect trust using “proactive transparency” as a weapon against increasingly sophisticated cyberattacks. Professor Akihiro Iriyama of Waseda University Business School, as well as key figures from Seven Bank, Yokohama Bank, JPCERT/CC, JC3, and JCCA participated in the project, revealing the essence of defense in the coming digital society from the perspectives of industry, government, and academia.
The background behind the creation of “Radical Transparency”
Modern cyberattacks have become so sophisticated, thanks to the misuse of generative AI, that they are difficult for humans to distinguish. AI learns existing defenses and continuously generates clever attack methods at high speed to circumvent them, making it impossible for a single company to cope with attacks based solely on its past experience and limited knowledge. Axion is deeply concerned that the information gap that exists between companies in this situation is ultimately creating vulnerability for society as a whole.

In the coming era, cybersecurity should not be confined to a company’s own IT measures, but rather fostered collaboration with “transparency” that involves sharing information across industries and domains. This will be the true survival strategy in the digital society. This document was created with the aim of generating new value in the form of a “cycle of knowledge,” where the expertise of each company is shared, expanding the defense network for society as a whole.
