freee Inc. has launched its BPaaS business on May 1, 2026. The rollout is being done together with San-in Godo Bank. The idea is to support small and mid sized companies in regional areas that are struggling to keep up with digital work and back office operations.
This is not just about giving companies software. The service combines SaaS tools with actual operational support. That includes setup, workflow design, and day to day execution. Deloitte Tohmatsu smooth Co., Ltd. is also involved, helping with SaaS adoption and process improvement.
A lot of SMEs are dealing with the same issues right now. Fewer workers. More compliance rules. Things like invoice systems and electronic bookkeeping are adding extra work. Because of this, many companies end up spending too much time on admin instead of core business.

The BPaaS model is meant to take that load off. It combines banking, consulting, and cloud tools into one setup. The first focus is on accounting and HR. Over time, the plan is to expand into other back office areas and build a more stable way for SMEs to operate.
