CData Software, Inc., a provider of data layers for AI, announced a significant enhancement to CData Sync, designed to meet the needs of modern enterprise data pipelines. This update adds integrated pipeline orchestration, enhanced change data capture (CDC) capabilities for mission-critical systems, and native support for open tables, enabling data teams to operate continuously across both legacy systems and modern architectures.
As companies accelerate the adoption of AI, they face immense pressure to keep data up-to-date, manage inter-system dependencies, and maintain large-scale governance. CData Sync’s latest features directly address these challenges by integrating real-time replication, workflow orchestration, and open standards into a single platform.
“The era of data pipelines that rely solely on batch processing is over,” says Manish Patel, GM of Data Integration at CData Software. “Enterprises need a way to continuously flow data from core systems to AI platforms, and they need to manage those flows integrally, rather than patching together multiple tools as an ad-hoc solution. CData Sync gives teams the control and flexibility to operate their data infrastructure in line with the realities of modern business.”

“Every organization recognizes the importance of data moving seamlessly and reliably between core systems and advanced analytics environments,” says Andrew Chabot, Senior Data Engineering Manager at Finthrive. “Pipeline orchestration and enhanced CDC support point the way forward for data platforms. CData Sync simplifies the management of complex data workflows and provides a consistent, reliable, and timely delivery of data to the teams and models that depend on them.”
Pipeline-based workflow orchestration
CData Sync now features a new pipeline capability, allowing teams to orchestrate multi-stage workflows directly within Sync. Data engineers can sequence replication jobs, transformations, and events without using external orchestration tools, reducing operational complexity while maintaining complete visibility and control over dependencies.
Programmable control via API 2.0
The redesigned API 2.0 provides a predictable, automation-friendly interface for managing Sync in large-scale environments. It enables programmatic pipeline configuration, execution triggering, and operational monitoring across distributed deployments, making it easier to integrate Sync into your on-premises platform or orchestrate it through external systems, including AI agents.
Enterprise-grade CDC-compliant for SAP HANA
CData Sync extends CDC support to SAP HANA, enabling near real-time replication from this widely deployed enterprise platform. Incremental changes from core systems can be streamed directly to analytics and AI platforms in the cloud without impacting production workloads.
Native support for OpenTable format for AI and analytics.
With native support for Apache Iceberg in addition to Delta Lake (including Microsoft Fabric via Open Mirroring), CData Sync enables data writing to an open, ACID-compliant tabular format. This eliminates vendor lock-in and provides data access across any analytics engine or AI platform without proprietary dependencies.
Centralized governance through workspaces
The new workspace feature provides a unified control plane for managing connections, jobs, and transformations across teams and environments. It enables strong governance, policy enforcement, and visibility even as pipelines scale.
