Pairpoint, a UK security solutions developer, announced “Pairpoint Secure,” a security solution designed to address new threats in the age of quantum computers, at Mobile World Congress (held March 2-5 in Barcelona, Spain).
With the advancement of quantum computing, there are concerns that the security of currently mainstream public key cryptography will decline in the future. Pairpoint Secure is a next-generation security solution that uses quantum-resistant cryptography to address this risk.
This solution utilizes SIM-based dynamic key generation technology to enable secure communications without the need for certificates or PKI. It also combines high security with ease of deployment for critical infrastructure, IoT devices, and data communications, supporting a practical transition to the quantum era while aligning with the requirements of major security standards and guidelines, including the EU’s CRA, the UK’s PSTI, and the US’s NIST. The solution has already been adopted by Vodafone IoT’s MachineLink 4G Link Industrial Router (ML4G), establishing secure IoT communications through dynamic symmetric keys based on the IoT SIM.
