Netchart Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Internet Initiative Japan Inc. (IIJ) that provides network-related solutions, and Cybercore Inc., a group subsidiary of Denki Kogyo Co., Ltd. that possesses advanced image AI and edge AI technologies, are pleased to announce that they will collaborate in the field of IoT solutions that utilize image analysis AI technology.
This collaboration aims to provide IoT solutions that reliably and seamlessly realize advanced sensor control and data analysis in real time by linking NetChart’s managed edge gateway service for IoT, “P3EG®,” with CyberCore’s world-class image analysis AI technology.
Recently, as IoT adoption in the manufacturing, construction, and retail industries has progressed, major issues have arisen, including the communication costs of transmitting massive amounts of data, such as video and images captured by network cameras, to the cloud, as well as processing delays (latency) and privacy protection. In response to these issues, there is a rapidly growing demand for “edge AI,” which can sort and analyze data on-site rather than in a physically distant cloud.

NetChart‘s “P3EG®” is an IoT platform that seamlessly connects various sensors and servers and provides “Data SLA®” to preserve data even in the event of communication failure. CyberCore‘s strengths lie in its proprietary technologies, such as AI lightweighting and acceleration technologies that enable high-speed operation even on low-spec edge devices, solutions that use these technologies, such as “BehaveEye®” and “StreetEye®,” and “LuxEye®,” which enables clear analysis even in dark places.
