Sumitomo Electric Information Systems Co., Ltd. will begin selling the latest version of its document management and information sharing system, “RakuRaku Document Plus Ver. 6.9,” on February 27th. This latest version supports AI-OCR, making handwritten text searchable. It also enhances integration with generation AI. Simply drag and drop files onto the screen to automatically extract and register attribute information effortlessly. Furthermore, the RAG-compatible “AI-Chat” function can now respond to inquiries using not only document attachments, but also management items associated with documents and content entered in free-form fields. The number of compatible generation AI services has also been expanded, with new options available, including Gemini, in addition to the existing ChatGPT.
These functions accelerate the digitization and utilization of all documents, turning them into information assets.
The main new features added to Rakuraku Document Plus Ver.6.9 are as follows:
AI-OCR makes it possible to search handwritten text
Because information written on paper can be searched as text data, analog information that has been lying dormant within the company, such as old contracts, drawings, and know-how, can be utilized as digital assets. In addition, the recognition accuracy has improved compared to conventional OCR functions, and it can now handle multiple languages and files containing a mixture of languages, making it more practical.

“Automatic attribute entry” function allows you to upload registration files from the screen
Simply drag and drop a file onto the Rakuraku Document Plus screen, and the generation AI will automatically extract the client name, date, amount, etc. and enter them into the attribute fields.
Previously, the automatic attribute entry function stored files in a specified folder on a file server, and then automatically extracted and entered the information through batch processing to register the document. Now, the entire process from uploading files to registering documents can be completed on the RakuRaku Document Plus screen, and attribute information can also be automatically extracted and entered in real time. This allows you to use it differently depending on the number and frequency of documents you register.
You can also upload multiple files at once. Each file is automatically identified as a single document, and attribute information can be automatically extracted from each file and registered, dramatically improving the efficiency of registration work.
If you want to modify the attribute information registered by automatic extraction, you can easily change it from the list screen. Furthermore, you can set whether to extract each item, and what and how to extract it, allowing for flexible operation tailored to your department and business.
