Terra Drone Inc. is pleased to announce that it has signed a distributorship agreement for its in-house developed indoor inspection drone, “Terra Xross 1,” with UAS VOSS AS, an internationally awarded industrial drone solutions company based in Norway, one of the world’s leading energy producers.
Through this partnership, Terra Drone will work with UAS VOSS, which has a strong network and expertise in the Nordic region, to promote sales expansion of the Terra Xross 1 in the Nordic region.
Indoor inspections using drones are expected to reduce dangerous manual work and improve inspection efficiency and cost performance compared to traditional inspection methods. With the development of the indoor inspection drone “Terra Xross 1,” Terra Drone has achieved aircraft performance that allows stable flight indoors and is able to offer it at a price level of approximately one-third that of competing products.

Norway is one of the world’s leading power producers, with approximately 90% of its electricity generated from renewable energy sources such as hydropower. As a result, there is ongoing demand for maintenance and inspection of critical infrastructure such as power plants and transmission and distribution facilities. Furthermore, the oil and natural gas industry is a key industry, accounting for approximately 60% of goods exports in 2024, and the country has a large number of operating oil and gas fields. This has led to a demand for more advanced equipment inspections that support safety and quality, particularly in the offshore field. In the power and offshore sectors, there is a great need for inspections in environments where workers are highly at risk of entering, such as turbine buildings, cable tunnels, indoor equipment in substations, and enclosed areas of offshore facilities. This creates a market with ample potential for the use of indoor inspection drones.
UAS VOSS is a distributor of industrial drone solutions incorporating sensors specialized for inspection applications. Since 2022, the company has built a track record of selling and providing drones, primarily in the areas of smart grid and infrastructure inspection, and has provided high-value-added solutions to major companies in the power and offshore industries. Its track record in large-scale mapping and infrastructure inspection projects demonstrates the company’s expertise in the energy sector. Furthermore, UAS VOSS won the “Best Specialty Drone Operator 2025 – Norway” award at the Scandinavian Business Awards hosted by EU Business News in 2025, demonstrating its international recognition for its technological capabilities and value proposition. Furthermore, UAS VOSS aims to expand its drone inspection services in the offshore field by 2026.
Through collaboration with UAS VOSS, Terra Drone will expand sales of the “Terra Xross 1” and overcome the obstacles to introducing drones into indoor inspection areas, such as unstable flight performance and high prices, further accelerating the use of drone technology in the industrial infrastructure inspection field in Scandinavia. Furthermore, by collaborating with UAS VOSS based on this agreement, the two companies will strive to provide more convenient customer support.
