Asuene Co., Ltd. has added an “AI response assistance function for suppliers” to its supply chain management platform “ASUENE SUPPLY CHAIN,” in which AI generates draft responses to surveys from buyers.
This function allows suppliers to use AI to create responses to other buyers by referencing information from questionnaires they have previously completed, reducing the workload associated with dealing with multiple buyers and ensuring consistency in the content of responses.
Background to adding AI response assistance function for suppliers
In recent years, interest in ESG responses throughout corporate supply chains has grown, and buyer companies are increasingly requesting suppliers to disclose information about their ESG initiatives. Although the purpose and format of the surveys vary from business partner to business partner, there are many commonalities among the items checked, and suppliers must repeatedly respond to surveys with similar content.

However, the wording and structure of survey questions often vary slightly, making it difficult to use previously compiled information as is. Furthermore, with the increase in ESG survey items and the expansion of the scope of confirmation, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of the information provided is more important than ever.
In light of these issues, we believe that a system is needed that allows suppliers to efficiently respond to investigations by utilizing information they have previously registered, and so we developed this function.
AI response assistance for suppliers
The newly added AI response assistance function for suppliers refers to previously registered survey responses and information for ESG surveys received by suppliers on “ASUENE SUPPLY CHAIN,” and the AI extracts questions with similar content and generates draft responses. This makes it possible to respond using existing information without having to reorganize information for each survey.
With this feature, AI identifies similar past questions and their answers and presents a draft. Suppliers can then confirm and revise the answers presented by the AI, with the final decision made by the user. This reduces the burden on suppliers in responding to surveys and contributes to improving the accuracy and consistency of the information provided to buyers.
Going forward, Fujitsu will continue to work on gradually expanding the functionality for buyers, so that they can more efficiently and appropriately grasp information on the supply chain.
