Mitsubishi Electric Corporation has completed the acquisition of all outstanding shares of Nozomi Networks Inc.. With the deal now closed, the US based OT security company has become a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi Electric. The transaction was finalized on January 28, 2026. This follows the announcement made by Mitsubishi Electric back in September 2025, when it first said it planned to acquire the company in full.
Nozomi Networks was founded in 2016 and is headquartered in San Francisco. The company focuses on cybersecurity solutions built specifically for operational technology and critical infrastructure environments. These are systems used in factories, power plants, transportation networks, and utility operations, where outages or security incidents can have serious real world consequences. Demand for this type of security has been increasing as industrial systems become more connected. As of December 2025, Nozomi Networks employed 336 people.
The company has also shown steady financial growth. Net revenue for 2023 was 62.56 million dollars. That number increased to 74.70 million dollars in 2024. In 2025, revenue rose sharply to 101.71 million dollars. The growth reflects wider adoption of its platforms and rising concern around OT security risks across multiple industries.

Mitsubishi Electric said it will disclose any impact on its consolidated performance forecasts if needed. With this acquisition, the company is looking to strengthen its cybersecurity capabilities, particularly around OT and industrial control systems, as part of its wider digital and industrial solutions strategy.
