Mitsubishi Electric Invests in and Partners with Tou Inc.

Mitsubishi Electric Corporation has signed an investment and collaboration agreement with Tou Inc., a startup company that provides innovative solutions through the high precision and practical application of industry-specific AI.

Through this partnership with Tosha, we aim to accelerate business transformation using cutting-edge AI technology, thereby creating new value and expanding our Serendie®-related business.

In recent years, as social issues have become more complex, companies are being required to go beyond conventional operational improvements and transform their businesses in order to continue creating new value. Tosha is an AI startup company founded by the University of Tokyo that solves social issues using cutting-edge technologies, including AI. It offers a wide range of solutions by leveraging its strengths, such as the development of a unique simulation platform that utilizes digital twins and the rapid implementation of AI agents.

Through this agreement, we aim to combine Tosha’s advanced technical capabilities and problem-solving skills with our strengths in components, customer assets, and domain knowledge, thereby promoting the discovery of potential customer issues and accelerating the creation of new services and the expansion of the number of customers to whom we provide value.

Going forward, while accumulating use cases that utilize AI technology, we will work to create new value that goes beyond the boundaries of existing businesses, such as labor-saving and automation of maintenance and operation work in social infrastructure, and realizing unmanned factories through intelligence and automation of factories.
