TIS Inc., a member of the TIS INTEC Group, and Second Sight Analytica Inc. announce that they have launched the “AI Fraud Detection Service” on January 28, 2026. This multi-tenant service is equipped with a unique fraud detection model that utilizes an AI engine, enabling the setting of fraud detection rules, scoring, and real-time inquiries during card payments.
To provide the “AI Fraud Detection Service,” the two companies built an application and fraud detection AI model specialized for card payment fraud, based on Second Site Analytica’s AI rule engine. Furthermore, during development, TIS organized and defined the business know-how and operational requirements related to card payment fraud detection, and Second Site Analytica used these to customize the fraud detection engine specifically for the card payment domain. Furthermore, TIS will be responsible for building a secure operational infrastructure utilizing this engine, business planning, and sales and provision of the service.
With the spread of cashless payments, the damage caused by credit card fraud is becoming more serious every year. According to the Japan Consumer Credit Association, the amount of damage caused by credit card fraud in 2024 reached a record high of 55.5 billion yen. In response to this situation, payment service providers are being asked to take more effective measures, such as using AI to detect advanced fraud and strengthening identity verification.

Meanwhile, fraud detection systems are polarized into two types: standard systems provided by international brands and high-end systems built and operated individually by payment service providers. The former have difficulty dealing with increasingly sophisticated and advanced fraud methods, while the latter pose a major challenge due to the rising costs of implementation and operation.
Against this backdrop, there was a demand for a new option that could achieve both advanced fraud detection and reduced implementation and operational burden. To address this, TIS, which has a large share of the domestic market in system development and service provision in the cashless payment field, and Second Site Analytica, which has strengths in product development using AI and data analysis, have collaborated to launch the “AI Fraud Detection Service,” which achieves high-level real-time fraud detection.
