Scalar Inc. is pleased to announce that it has entered into a partnership agreement with Kong Inc., a leading API management platform company.
Through this partnership, Scalar will act as a reseller of Kong products and accelerate companies’ digital transformation by integrating API strategies with advanced data infrastructure. In addition, in conjunction with this partnership, Scalar will launch a new service called “AI-Driven Development In-House Support Service,” which utilizes AI to support the in-house development of API infrastructure through microservices.
Since the second half of 2025, the practical application of AI agents has progressed rapidly, and attention has been focused on the Model Context Protocol (MCP) as a standard protocol for inter-system collaboration. Amid this trend, two needs have arisen among companies: “establishing a connection infrastructure with external AI services” and “gaining rapid response capabilities by in-house development.”

Meanwhile, while microservices are essential for companies’ digital transformation, they present technical challenges, such as the increasing complexity of API communications and data fragmentation. The API management layer, which serves as the gateway for AI agents to connect with systems, is becoming more important than ever.
Kong’s technology, which provides API connectivity, and Scalar’s technology, which provides the data integrity behind it, are like the two wheels of a system. Scalar has provided a foundation for supporting data reliability through its Universal HTAP engine “ScalarDB,” which virtually integrates multiple heterogeneous databases, and its data tamper detection software “ScalarDL,” which solves the issue of data authenticity.
Through this partnership, Kong will combine its globally adopted API management technology with its own data infrastructure technology to provide comprehensive support for “AI agent collaboration via APIs and MCP,” which is essential for promoting digital transformation in the AI era.
