NTT Advanced Technology has started offering a new VPN Security Diagnostic Service from January 15, 2026. The service is meant to help companies spot risks in their VPN devices. VPNs count as the principal passage to corporate networks, and if hacked, the internal data can come out. Teleworking and the use of cloud applications have turned VPNs into a primary target for cybercriminals. The National Police Agency indicates that more than 60 percent of ransomware attacks are carried out through VPN devices and that the financial impact of such attacks has increased 1.5 times from the previous year.
The service checks for vulnerabilities in multiple ways. It includes external scans, internal on-site checks, security interviews, dark web ID investigations, and recreating what could happen after a breach. Specialized engineers use both commercial and proprietary tools. Results are provided in clear reports that highlight the priority of vulnerabilities and suggested countermeasures. High-risk issues are reported immediately.

It works for companies of all sizes, from small businesses to critical infrastructure operators. The service has three plans, ranging from remote assessments to full diagnostics including post-breach scenario recreation. NTT-AT plans to expand it to cover cloud VPNs and SASE in the future, making it a one-stop security assessment and countermeasure solution.
