Almedia, a platform that enhances game and brand discovery and engagement through data-driven rewards and recommendations, announced its entry into the Japanese market with the appointment of Koji Sakakura as Country Manager for Japan. Almedia is also listed on the Financial Times FT1000 (Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies), and this announcement marks an important milestone in the company’s global expansion and reaffirms its long-term commitment to the APAC region.
Almedia continues to grow globally, operating in Europe, North America, and major APAC markets, including China and South Korea, driven by growing demand for reward-based user acquisition. Japan, with its highly mature mobile app and game ecosystem, is seeing growing demand for results-based and highly transparent user acquisition solutions, and is positioned as a strategic market for Almedia, driving its next phase of growth.
Sakakura, who will lead business development in the Japanese market, is a sales and marketing executive with over 20 years of experience in digital advertising, platform monetization, and GTM (Go-To-Market) strategies in Japan. Prior to joining Almedia, he held senior leadership positions at global technology companies, including TikTok Japan, where he played a key role in launching localized full-funnel solutions for enterprise customers and driving sales growth.
