Rakuten Beauty, a salon reservation service operated by Rakuten Group, Inc. launched the beta version of Rakuten Beauty Agent, an AI agent that helps users choose the most suitable salon.
Rakuten Beauty Agent Beta is an AI agent that helps users choose a salon that meets their needs, based on data such as basic information, menus, staff information, user reviews, and availability information for salons (Note) listed on Rakuten Beauty. Anyone can access it for free from the Rakuten Beauty smartphone page. It has the processing power to understand natural language and accurately capture requests, and is equipped with a function that allows users to list and compare multiple salons. It can also display salon locations on a map, making it convenient to complete salon searches on a single screen, even before making a reservation.
Users enter their desired menu, region, and other conditions in a conversational format using a text input field. The AI understands their needs from the text they enter and suggests the most suitable salon options based on a vast amount of data, including store information listed on Rakuten Beauty. When booking a reservation at a suggested salon, the user is guided through the AI chat to a web booking screen, allowing for a smooth booking process. The screen also displays search suggestions to help users as they enter text. Even those unfamiliar with AI tools can easily find the perfect salon without getting lost.
